Adverts for free pets, often pedigree puppies, kittens or even monkeys. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! Genuine pet delivery web pages are being copied, contact & payment details changed, search all the information you have been given ie (addresses and phone numbers) using a search engine to check you are dealing with who you think you are, and the e-mail address and office address are the same! You may think you are being contacted by varies departments, they are all part of the scam to reel you in.

Never pay by money-gram or Western Union.

Lots of these ads are scams, the scam being to talk you into paying at a post office for delivery, of course, the pet never arrives! At the start, get full address and landline telephone number/s, check the address the pet is coming from on Google, look the telephone number up yourself and call them.
Scams like to use mobiles (try not to call them as they can be very expensive) and e-mails, even sending you pictures of pets that do not exist. By following the above advice you may avoid being scammed yourself.
